FABs otherwise known as Foam Arsed Blobs feature a foam cylinder tail.

Because the fly has a foam cylinder butt for a tail  it makes the fly slightly buoyant, if fished on a sinking line it will give a twitchy motion when retrieved which is deadly for Rainbows.

It can be fished in a number of ways, the most popular being fished as a point fly on a sinking line with  buzzers on the droppers.

Long slow pull, leave still for a few seconds to allow the fab to lift in the water then pull again and keep repeating until you retrieve line back. Takes can be vicious at times.

Can Also be fished on a floating line commonly known as “The Washing Line Method” with buzzers suspended from it.
